If you love Panorama Flushmount albums, chances are the full bleed, uninterrupted layouts are one reason why. This 12x12 album by  Birch & Wattle of Sydney, Australia,  makes great use of panorama images. What also caught our eye was the warm and joyful imagery of Fleur and Steve's wedding. Yana shared some stand-out moments  from  the day, and some thoughts about their photography business. Here's a look at what goes on in the Queensberry printery — prints, album layouts and canvases being created under the expert eyes of our technicians. Quality is paramount to us. Queensberry print makers Chris and Alex chat about some of our print options, and their own hands-on, eyes-on approach. Printing your photographs is a hands-on process at Queensberry, and we're sticklers for detail — every step is subject to strict scrutiny, and monitored closely from start to finish. But preparing your files properly is just as important to getting To View More >>

The city of San Francisco was the backdrop for Judy and Andrew’s urban wedding. From the bow-ties to the jazz band, their wedding gave a few nods to the Roaring Twenties. Their wedding and reception was held at City Club of San Francisco in San Francisco, California. Duy Ho Photography was their photographer of the day who is based in San Francisco. The flower arrangements and bouquets by Amy Burke Designs are so sweet and delicate. Click on the image for a closer look. Duy Ho has designed this album with the use of asymmetric layouts and lovely full-bleed images. The rooftop portraits To View More >>

If you specify Full Colour Service printing, we colour correct your images. The old fashioned way, one at a time. We don't run software shortcuts or bulk edit your images. Every single image (or layer) gets personal attention from our specialist colour correctors. It's their job to get your images looking their best and ready for printing and album assembly. Our colour correction policy is to achieve consistency across the images in your album and to optimise natural skin-tones ... and if we spot any problems, to let you know. Once we're done your images go straight to the lab for printing. No To View More >>

Although a lot of you love our albums (us too!) we operate on the simple principle that you're running a business, and if you can't make money selling them you shouldn't buy them. But there's no doubt many photographers do struggle. Partly that's because they sell a la carte, and have persuaded themselves that their clients don't want albums. I don't buy it. A la carte is often shorthand for having a cheap headline price, and no levers you can pull to make a better sale. (I'm not saying a la carte's a bad idea, but it needs close thought). As for people not wanting albums, it was the same story To View More >>

A series about storytelling in album design. We turn the page in a wedding album… It's night time and we're at the reception. We turn another page… We're back outside the church in bright daylight! How confusing is that? Not only is the mood of the imagery completely different, the natural flow of the story is disrupted and any feeling of the 'journey' is lost. Chronology creates flow It may sound too basic to mention, but sticking to the order of the day helps make your images into a story. It also speeds up album design by predetermining the order you lay them out on the pages. Here's something To View More >>
